My oldest son turns 7 years old today!

We had his birthday party yesterday, he had so much fun.

I gave him his own special birthday photo shoot a couple weeks ago.

He is pretty easy to work with these days and I just let him do and act how he wanted while I snapped the pics.

(Although to be honest, he couldn’t really run around- we were both standing in mud- hence the use of the fence :))

That bear he is holding (above) is named “Blue Bear” and he has had him and adored him since birth.

It is so sweet that he wanted to have Blue Bear in the shoot… still!

Blue Bear goes on all of our trips and sleeps with him each night.

I love that he’s not too cool for Blue Bear yet! :)

We just went down the street to take these, it only took us about 15 minutes one Saturday morning.

Today I was cleaning and organizing and I just can’t believe I am finally able to consolidate my boys toys together!

They are 4 years apart, so its been crazy living with so many toys made for such different ages- especially in a small home.

Its bitter sweet realizing how fast time flies.

Today I finally put all of the diaper stuff in a big bag to give away- we are officially a diaper free household!

I can’t believe it! Its so exciting, but again bitter sweet.

I am doing my best to take in every second of my boys growth and development and savor each and every stage,

no matter how challenging.

Being a mom, for me, is by far the best and craziest most difficult thing I have ever experienced.

Thank goodness for our wonderful family and friends!

I feel so blessed to have my little family and all of our loved ones.

It was so classic. He rocked “Born To Be Wild” on a toy Guitar

He is very serious about this…
