Lisa was nervous about this shoot because she said it took her 6 months to convince that teenage handsome son of hers above to even
consider the idea of family portraits. After many emails back and forth and our phone consultation, I was a little nervous myself!
She said he really didn’t want to go AT ALL! I expected the worst. I expected to be totally ignored, disrespected and pictured lots of
moments with rolled eyes at me. Boy was I completely wrong and so pleasently surprised!
Both Lisa’s kids were so respectful and sweet, and you would never guess her son was anti-photos at all!
He was awesome! And such a natural!
Here is one of my favs of him and his sweet mama.
I know my boys will be teens one day too, and I hope I get photos of us like this.
When you are a mom, it doesn’t matter if your boys are turning into men and are growing taller than you,
you will always be their mom.

The G family wasn’t too familiar with Ojai, so I had lots of fun walking around with them
and showing them some our our best known hidden treasures.
(PS. Lisa said she wanted a little bit of an edgy look in her photos, so I had fun processing :) )
