Friends, thank you for the sweet messages, reaching out to see how the move is going & when I’ll be shooting again. To be honest, social media is one of those things that’s hard for me if I take a break- I tend to get shy & introverted & then have to push past barriers to get back in the groove of posting again.
Last night I woke up in the middle of the night feeling a mix of worry & excitement. Excited to create some magic for my upcoming clients (& hopefully you!) & then felt immediate guilt & worry because – & it’s hard to admit this, but I felt bad for my business, & that I was a “bad business woman” for just dropping off the earth for a bit. So now I feel like I’ve been doing this great thing for my kids, but then neglecting my business. It’s hard sometimes balancing all the things, and I’m doing my best to give myself grace, but I’ll be honest & say I deal with battling feeling not enough sometimes even though I know I’m only one person & I’m doing the best I can. The past 2 months I had to solely focus on life, this transition & not work for a bit & I’m trying to tell myself that’s it’s ok. And I’m so grateful I am set up to take time off. I’m working hard to let that guilt go. I’m putting this out here in hopes that by being vulnerable that I will then make space to drop the guilt/ shame trip. Life is never a perfect balancing act. We all do the best we can. We all need to give ourselves grace. I am hoping that this gives you encouragement that if you’re feeling like you don’t have it all together or all figured out, I’m right there with ya. 🧡
I’m happy to announce that I’ll be back to work at the end of this month-actually I have my first shoot since my move next weekend!
