The Berri Family

{Both Berri kids have the most amazing eyes!}

*****

Last month I had the pleasure of traveling to Ojai, California and this was the first family I got to “play” with.

Before our session, I went location hunting to find the best spot. I was surprised to see how dry and brown the area was,

all of my normal lush, green meadows were dead and desert like.

Luckily, this family had a gorgeous property with flowers and a bit of greenery

that we were able to use- and we sure put it to use!

*****

Here are a few outtakes where I was testing the light while we awaited the arrival of the guys.

I took advantage of mommy and baby daughter together.

I actually love these tests pics- they made the cut!

Gorgeous girls!

I showed up a few hours earlier before the session and helped set up some fun areas for the kids.

I found a great little trail that had some wildflowers and I put one of their air mattresses down,

which we turned into a lovely little bed amongst the weeds and flowers.

{Love little C’s kissy face!}

*****

Can’t get enough of these detail shots of the little ones

Love those little feet, lashes, and face!

*****

Big brother had a great time bouncing on the bed

I love this happy face post bounce while being tickled by dad! :)

*****

Once the kiddos were satisfied jumping on the bed,

we headed to the next area…

I couldn’t resist the moment between father and son on our walk over…

*****

In the next area of fun,we made use of their gorgeous lawn by setting up a cozy little outdoor reading lounge with blankets and pillows.

*****

The Berri’s brought this little umbrella that the kids got to play with…

*****

Lastly, we just did a little more playing!

Love this one of mom and dad,

so much love between them.

*****

I just adore these playful moments with real laughter and real smiles!

What a joy to be able to work with this family again!
