~A little wintertime collage from the ol’ iphone~
This time of year can be so hectic, and there are so many phots I have that I wanted to share- like our adventure on the Polar Express with our kids, our trip to NYC, and other fun adventures, but time has just gotten away from me. In the meantime, here are some pics off of my iphone of our family fun around the house and close by.
(Pic descriptions in order: Stockings hung by the chimney with care, iceskating in Providence, D. writing out his Christmas list, my rain boots, our Christmas Tree, Me all bundled up and winterized, the boys modeling their amazing handmade knit beanies and mittens from my amazing grandma, G. bundled up wearing one of great grandma Barb’s awesome beanies.)
And we have breaking news below…
Today D. lost a tooth! So we will be getting visits from Santa and the Tooth Fairy all in one night! WooHoo! So exciting!
D’s hoping they meet here at our house tonight! :)

This is our first Christmas away from family. We are keeping it mellow tonight and tomorrow by staying home and just spending time with our little family.
Tomorrow we will get to make our very own Christmas dinner- our first time ever! (We are always so blessed to eat my mom’s amazing dinner).
We were hoping for a white Christmas, or at least a few snow flakes, but it doesn’t look like its going to happen…
Well, we still think their could be snowflakes… {fingers crossed}
The weather has been so beautiful and sunny- freezing cold- in the 20’s some days, but still very lovely in my book.
I just bundle up in layers and furry hats and gloves and go running in the cold. Its invigorating and … dare I say- Fun!
I kind of like it! I am scared to admit it because its only December, I know we have a few months of cold to go,
but I am loving the weather, the change of seasons, and I feel empowered when I go out into the elements and run in it.
I actually feel bad that I have a gym membership that I never use. I made myself go the gym the other day and take a yoga class.
I just feel like I want to be outside enjoying the weather no matter what its doing.
The gym membership will come in handy at some point, I’m sure! Probably like if it has snowed and I can’t push the jogger through it, lol :)
Tonight we will sip hot cocoa by the fire, wrap the last of the gifts, listen to my sweet hubby play Christmas carols on his guitar, put cookies and milk out for Santa, AND a tooth under a pillow for the tooth fairy… Not too shabby for our first Christmas away, right ;)

We have been having a great time with the friends we have here with us.
Lots of dinners, and get togethers, and playdates, etc. etc.
It has really made this move away from family and California friends a lot easier on us.
We are really, truly grateful and blessed.

Wishing you and your families and wonderful Merry Christmas, and Happy Hanukkah!
