These 2 lovebirds… They brought their 3 adorable kiddos for me to photograph to their family Mini Session,
but when I went to choose a pic for their sneak peek, I just had to post mom and dad,
I mean look at them! They look so in love.
So connected here.
And with 3 kids in tow, that inspired me.
I will post more with the whole family later, of course.
At all of my family sessions I make sure I get photos of the whole family together, the kids together and alone, and then the parents together. I actually get some resistance with romantic pictures of parents, they are always surprised and hesitate, thinking they shouldn’t take any time away from the session where the focus is on the kids or family. And that is exactly why I gently urge my clients to be open to letting me capture a few images. I always help guide them so they don’t feel any pressure of what to do. And the reaction is always positive during and after!
Almost every single time, parents tell me they haven’t had pictures together alone since their wedding, (or if they are a repeat client of mine- since they had a session with me last). One of the biggest compliments I get, aside from the kiddos telling me I’m fun, is that the couple feels like they are on a date, or that they are so happy I had them slow down to look at each other, and soak each other in, even if its just for a few minutes.
What’s even better is that once they do this, they will now have their love captured in photos!
And the best thing you can do is take those photos and decorate your home, celebrate that love! Its not only good for your marriage, its great role modeling for your kiddos!
