This is me- my very first headshot 9 years ago!
I have had my Wildflower Studio Photography business for 10yrs next summer, which is so exciting!
A little bit about me: I’ve always known I wanted to work with kids and families-
before I was a photographer I taught at a Montessori School,
I’ve worked in outreach programs putting on educational programs for schools,
I was a nanny, I was an au pair abroad, I have worked with kids of all different abilities and needs,
and I am a mom of 2 very energetic boys! I have always loved photography, but I didn’t set out to be a professional photographer.
I actually had a greeting card business with my art and photography and a blog.
I began getting requests from my customers to do their family photos when they saw photography I was blogging of my own family.
I agreed and as these people shared their photos, the requests for more family sessions snowballed
and I had to quit my greeting card business and focus solely on photography.
What a gift to be able to have my passion be my job and make so many families so happy.
I love learning and I take time every year to learn more. I have grown so much in these 9 1/2 years.
I am excited to continue this business for many more years to come.
Thanks for being on this journey with me!
**I also want to add, as much as I love taking photos of others, I hate being in front of the camera myself.
Now I am looking back at this photo and feeling so grateful for it!
This is the feeling I try to explain to other women who feel yucky about photos of themselves.
You and your family will treasure the photos you have of yourself & together for generations to come!
Thanks Kevin Wynn for capturing this for me!
