Today it was 8 degrees when I woke up
and weather.com said it “felt like -5”
and it did!
The positive thing is its sunny,
and that for me makes all the difference.
What’s surprising to me is that our family adjusting to Rhode Island winters
has been easier than I would have expected.
If you would have told me back in CA that I would be living in temps like this
(yesterday it was 80 degrees in my CA hometown)
I would have cried and ran away screaming!
But its actually a fun change ~
I only say that because nothing is permanent
and
its just a season!
Soon spring will be here, then summer.
One thing that living here has done,
is allow me to make the best of it by taking photos
that I would have never been able to take back in Ventura County, CA
like the ones pictured here.
And I am having fun taking these new pics
trying new things,
and braving the cold temps for now.
Tomorrow I am off to CA for just 3 days for photo sessions!
Its supposed to drop from the high 70s to the low 60s while I am there,
but it will feel like Hawaii compared to today’s weather here in RI!
You would think I was excited, but Its always really hard leaving my family.
I am passionate about creating art, so I feel extremely blessed
to have a job that allows me to travel and create all year round!
