Maple Syrup straight from the tree, and other fun on the farm~ Rhode Island Photographer

One thing I completely take advantage of while living in RI is the access to all the great local farms.

I can’t even count how many we have been to in the year & 1/2 that we have lived here!

Last spring we visited Cogshall farm, where they not only have animals roaming the farm,

but also educational demonstrations about how people lived on the farm in years passed without modern technology.

Here are some of the photos I took of our time together there…

Enjoy!

My boys rolled around in this barn picture above for HOURS!!!

I couldn’t get them to leave!

later, we found these eggs (below) safely tucked away in the corner of the barn.

*****
Watching my kids with the turkeys was hilarious!

Those turkeys have some funny personalities!

My boys were entertained by them for the majority of our time there.

(Its a year later and they still talk about them!)

*****
I just love old barns and these old structures, stone or wood!

*****

Part of the fun is watching the reenacting of how people used to live off of the land…

*****
My son and his good friend L. made friends with one of the ladies…

Later my kids followed a kitty into one of the historical homes to find a woman actually baking out of a stone hearth!

*****
They were very intrigued and watched her work~
history in live action!

Thanks for joining us on our adventure!

Until next time,
