Well, hello there :)
Hope all is well!
Above is my big 9 year old right before his 9th birthday.
This year, for his birthday shoot, I did a space themed session- Fun!
Although, it was VERRRY cold!

But as for this blog, I know I have been a bit incognito on here.
I think I am actually in hibernation mode.
I feel like I am just dragging!
This winter has been a bit of a doosey, and its not even over yet {Sigh}
In fact, today was in the 20’s when I went for my walk, and its supposed to snow again tonight!
What the heck? I thought the groundhog saw his shadow!?
And isn’t it almost April?

Anyway, back to the story behind these photos…
As a natural light photographer who loves to photograph children outdoors,
I was determined to take my son’s annual birthday photos outdoors, despite the cold temps and snow.
He and I discussed ideas for his session and we came up with a space theme!
The landscape was perfect for that- I knew a place with rocks and snow.
This is such a fun age, & I love this guy so much.
He is sweet, sensitive & great friends with his little brother.
Speaking of that little brother…
For fun, here’s a little glimpse behind the scenes.
Never a dull moment, I tell ya!

The only problem with our vision for this session? – the vision included a rocket tent,
and his birthday was within the next couple of weeks!
I had no time to make a rocket,
and everything I found online was out of stock…
So how did I finally get my hands on that space rocket tent?
Well, during my extensive internet search, a blog came up up where a crafty mom had made her own!
I took a chance & emailed her, asking her if she would let me borrow it for a photo shoot.
Guess what?
She GAVE me hers!
This sweet mom & blogger, Sarah Finks, said it was not even being used,
and it would bring her happiness to give it a home where it will be loved- How sweet is that?
I want to give a special thank you to Sarah Finks!
Who happens to have a great website!
www.threeboys.net
Check it out if you get a chance!
