Whoo Hoo!!!
Well, I am finally getting a chance to write about my photography video!

~but first, here is the back story~
I had been wanting to do a video for a couple of years now, but wasn’t sure how to go about it.
Then the idea came back to me again a few months ago,
and literally 2 days later, as if my magic, I was contacted by awesome videographer, Paul Rogers of Photographers Reel.
He had seen my work and wanted to work with me, then I saw his work and I thought he would be the perfect videographer for the job.
Because we live in different parts of the US, and it was still winter,
we decided to meet in Florida and use his brother’s family in the shoot and video.
Now, I am not familiar with Florida at all, and had no idea where I was going.
The location would be in Neptune Beach, on the Jacksonville area coastline.
I bought my plane ticket, got my hotel, and as we got closer to the shoot date,
I began feeling this unpleasant, strange intuitive feeling that something was going to go wrong,
like the family would have to cancel last minute.
I needed to somehow get some back up families lined up just in case they had to cancel.
This was awkward, since I didn’t know anyone in Florida, but I advertised on FB and told friends here in RI.
That same day, Paul informed me that the family indeed DID have something come up and they did have to cancel!!
Later that day, I found my backup family- The Ferencs! (Thank you Natalie!)
Now, I am sure typically, photographer’s who make a video would play it extra safe
by shooting in a familiar location(or atleast a state they are familiar with),
and use a family they have previously worked with,
or a close friend you are super comfortable with,
or some of my photographer colleagues even suggested hiring professional models from an agency.
I know I took a big risk choosing a random unkown family I had never met previously,
in a completely unkown location.
But guess what?
This video is 100% real! It is not staged, nor were any professional actors or models used.
It is absolutely, 100% me traveling to a family’s home in another state and meeting them for the first time!
And meeting Paul, the videographer for the first time!
Did I feel a little out of control and scared?
YES!
It was crazy enough for me to be in front of the camera, let alone be videoed!
Talk about feeling vulnerable!
But it was great and I love how it turned out!
I had a great time and I would love to make more videos!
FUN! Spontaneous! REAL! Yay!
